Natixis acted as one of the Equity Bridge Loan Lenders and Mandated Lead Arrangers for senior debt, in addition to providing interest rate hedging for the construction of the Rookery South Energy Recovery Facility located in Bedfordshire, England.
The facility will be capable of processing up to 545,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste each year and will produce over 60 MW of electricity, powering the equivalent of over 112,500 homes and providing much-needed sustainable waste treatment to the region.
Waste-to-energy facilities are becoming increasingly important across the globe and Natixis is proud to provide financing for such projects in the developing sustainable energy sector.
