Oscar Sanchez Garcia, Head of Infrastructure Finance, Iberia participated in the Direct Lending in Spain event in Madrid, hosted by Agen Synd, a loan agency specialist.
Oscar represented Natixis on the Project Finance roundtable. He discussed with panellists the state of the market, detailing how funds and institutional investors are now competing with banks as debt providers for both brownfield and greenfield transactions.
A unique market positioning
Oscar highlighted the Natixis debt platform in Infrastructure Finance, the only bank in Spain with such a business model. The debate that followed included a discussion surrounding greenfield financing in Spain, with 9 GW of new capacity needed to be operational by year end.
