Natixis has received an award in The Banker Deal of the Year 2020 for its leading involvement in the DEWA IV hybrid solar IPP Project, which has been selected as Infrastructure & Project Finance (Middle East) deal of the year.
At completion, the project will be the largest single-site Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) and single hybrid solar power project in the world with three different solar energy technologies in deployment: CSP central tower, CSP parabolic trough and photovoltaic panels for a total output capacity of 950MW. The project is being developed in the Emirate of Dubai by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), ACWA Power and Silk Road Fund. It is aimed at producing 5,000 megawatts by 2030 with investments totalling AED 50 billion.
The DEWA IV project financing has received the Climate Bond Initiative certification, an international, investor-focused not-for-profit organisation working solely on mobilizing the $100 trillion bond and loan markets for climate change solutions.
