PFI Awards 2018
On 6 February, the 2018 award dinner ceremony organized by PFI, a reference publication in the Infrastructure sector, took place in London. Most notably, Natixis received the award of Americas Bank of the Year, which rewards an exceptional performance of the Americas Platform in particular in LatAm.
In addition, Natixis Infrastructure Finance received 8 Deal of Year awards during the event evidencing market recognition of our strong expertise in Infrastructure. Of note, 4 awards relate to renewable energy projects, an area of particular excellence at Natixis: Enel Green Power, a PV project in Mexico, Americas Solar Deal of the Year; Cerro Dominador, first Tower CSP in Chile, LatAm Renewables Deal of the Year; Moray East, a large offshore wind project in the UK, Europe Power Deal of the Year; and Sakaka, first large-scale PV project in Saudi Arabia, Middle East Power Deal of the Year. The other awards are: Çanakkale 1915 Bridge, the World longest suspension bridge to be built in Turkey, Turkish Deal of the Year; Duqm, a large petrochemical complex in Oman, Middle East Petrochemical Deal of the Year; TAP, a gas pipeline to be built between Turkey and Italy, Europe Oil & Gas Deal of the Year; and Blankenburg Tunnel, a motorway tunnel in the Netherlands, Europe Transport Deal of the Year.
Natixis Energy & Natural Resources also distinguished itself during the event with 2 awards on upstream projects: Mina Justa, a copper mine project in Peru, LatAm Mining Deal of the Year; Energean Oil & Gas, gas fields in Israel, Middle East Oil & Gas Deal of the Year.
In the recently published PFI/ThomsonReuters’ 2018 League Tables for Project Finance, Natixis was ranked #9 Global Mandated Lead Arranger. This ranking, the highest ever with PFI, evidences a particularly strong performance of Natixis’ Infrastructure Finance teams in 2018 and consolidates our position as one of the top Infrastructure banks on a global level. Natixis also ranked #7 Global Bookrunner for Project Finance loans, #3 Bookrunner in EMEA, which reflects our strong O2D activity and distribution capabilities.
