Natixis CIB supports amber infrastructure with the refinancing of iseek data centres following its majority interest acquisition

Natixis CIB Infrastructure and Energy Finance team in Australia acted as the Sole Mandated Lead Arranger, LC Provider and Hedging Provider to support Amber Infrastructure Group (Amber), a leading specialist infrastructure investment manager, for the refinancing of iseek Data Centres (iseek) after Amber acquired a majority interest in the company in June 2021. Financial close was reached on September 1, 2021.

The acquisition is Amber’s first digital infrastructure investment outside Europe and endorses the strength of their broader international digital infrastructure platform. The investment also builds on Amber’s presence in Australia where it has been active since 2006 and currently manages 10 investments in over A$7bn of assets.

For iseek, the new ownership structure and partnership with Amber endorses the strength of the digital infrastructure platform that they have built over the past 22 years. The transaction also marks an important milestone for Natixis, establishing a new partnership with iseek which demonstrates our strategic focus on digitalization and the development of digital infrastructure in the key markets where we operate.
