Haffner Energy, a leading player in the decarbonisation and production of green hydrogen, annouces the success of its IPO on the Euronext Growth® market in Paris
Haffner Energy chose Natixis CIB Strategic Equity Capital Markets (SECM) team for its IPO on Euronext. Natixis CIB acted as Global Coordinator for a transaction up to €83 million, which was a great success!
Haffner Energy is a key player in decarbonization and green hydrogen production. The company developed a revolutionary green hydrogen production and carbon capture process based on the thermolysis of sustainable forest and agricultural biomass. This technology, called “Hynoca®”, protected by 15 patent families, is based on a very energy efficient process that converts sustainable biomass into green hydrogen while sequestering CO2.
This superb operation will support the growth and ambitions of the company, which is aiming for a turnover of €250m by March 2026.
This transaction confirms Natixis CIB commitment to energy transition (second Hydrogen IPO after HDF Energy last year). It is also the first IPO both in Europe and in France this year.
"We are proud to be at the forefront of industry decarbonization through our involvement on the IPO of Haffner Energy, a disruptive French and family-owned company offering a unique technology on green hydrogen production with negative carbon footprint. Cleantech IPO pipeline is still filling up and Natixis will continue to support the financing of sectors key – today and tomorrow - for our economy and our environment."
Renaud Latreille, Global Head of SECM, Natixis CIB.
"In spite of an IPO market environment which is getting more volatile, Haffner Energy and its banking partners managed to face the strong headwinds to place successfully the first IPO of 2022 in Europe. Investors are more and more risk-adverse and investment cases must be flawless in order to fly. The solid anchoring at launch with 3 strategic investors & 2 financial names was also instrumental to the deal success."
Laurent Danino, Origination France, Natixis CIB.
"Haffner Energy has developed a groundbreaking technology allowing the production of carbon negative and very competitive green hydrogen. We are very proud to contribute to its emergence via this landmark IPO. Further, this transaction is a strong demonstration of Natixis leading expertise in the hydrogen sector. Onward for the scale up of the hydrogen economy!"
Antoine Trieux, Head of Midstream, Hydrogen and Bioenergies
