Airline Economics Growth Frontiers 2018
Natixis featured as a sponsor of the Airline Economics Growth Frontiers 2018 event in Hong Kong, following summits also taking place earlier in October, both in New York and in Dubai. These conferences bring together airlines, lessors, and manufacturers from across the globe, focusing on finance and leasing concerns in the current economic climate and the outlook for the future.
In Hong Kong, Jean Chedeville, Head of Aircraft Finance, APAC, featured in a panel discussion concerning the sanctions, tariffs and other challenges in aviation finance. In New York, Joseph LaVorgna, Chief Economist, Americas led a “broad macroeconomic outlook” session, and provided his opinion on the state of the US economy, where we are in the recession cycle. He pointed out how the most recent information coming from The Fed is affecting businesses in the country, with reference to the airline industry in particular.
In Dubai, Benedicte Bedaine-Renault, Head of Aviation Finance, EMEA, moderated the supported finance discussion, in addition to James Mellor, Aviation Director participating in a diverse panel discussion concerning meeting the growing needs of clients in the Middle East and Africa.
By supporting these conferences, across the three platforms of EMEA, APAC and the Americas, Natixis highlights its commitment to the Aviation sector, one of the four key sectors in our New Dimension strategy.
